Yes, the worst thing is when people call Freddie a funsponge. I think people forget that his mom died bc of her depression so that would have definitely fucked him up in some way?? Also I don't think Cook would have been able to deal w/Effy's depression as well as Freddie AND I CAN RANT ABOUT THIS FOR HOURS. But I just don't see valid reasons as to why people should hate Freddie bc he cared so much about Cook, JJ, Effy, etc. TYSM ILY2 <3

I’m pretty certain I’m in love with you right now because I rant about this for hours by myself all the time and there’s no one to talk to about it. The point that you had about his mother’s depression is a great one and I’ve thought it too which leads me to believe that we have the same mind because all of your points are so true it hurts. So the thing with Freddie’s mom is a lot of watchers don’t take that into consideration.

And another thing that annoys me to no end is when people get mad at Freddie for attempting to leave Effy when Cook found his bag and called him out on it. The thing is, Freddie was there for Effy again and again and again and again. And she totally rejected him. So he finally gave up. And he realized he has to save himself and that nothing he’s doing is working. And just because Cook was the one to call him out on it and make him look like the bad guy like “oh you’re leaving Effy while she’s sick how could you” people think that he cares for Effy more.

Now let me point this out - who didn’t visit Effy when she was sick? Who didn’t even know she was sick in the first place? Who laughed at her when she was having a panic attack on the stairs? Who didn’t even care enough to know that something was wrong with her? Not Freddie. It was Cook. That all should prove to everybody that Cook DID NOT love Effy nearly enough. And he DEFINITELY didn’t love Effy as much as Freddie did, nobody did.

Cook would leave Effy in the dust if he was in Freddie’s situation and that’s totally obvious. Like you said, Cook wouldn’t be able to handle it. He’s a party guy who only cares about sex. He’s not really about all the deep stuff. He wouldn’t know what to do with Effy honestly. I think he would leave her for someone else. It’s just how he is. And for some reason people think he’d be better at it???? Freddie saved her time and time again and protected her and was always, ALWAYS there for her through EVERYTHING.

So all in all, people that ship Ceffy/say Cook loved Effy more/hate Freddie really do need a reality check and rewatch Skins over and over like I have to really figure all these characters out. 

That was a crazy long rant but I love you if you read all of it. Because I needed to let out all that angst. It felt so good too. :)

hello, i hope this message isn't creepy!! anyways, i saw your freddie video and i couldn't help but watch the whole thing BECAUSE YOU BASICALLY HAVE THE SAME THOUGHTS ABOUT FREDDIE AS ME (so ily for that). and i don't really have friends to talk to about him bc most of them are avid ceffy shippers and some idolize cook for letting freddie have effy which is probably what angers me most bc effy loved freddie and vice versa, so UGH THE ASK IS GOING TO CUT ME OFF, BUT TY FOR THAT VID. <3

I didn’t see this at all so I have no clue how long it’s been here…I am so insanely sorry for that! Normally I’d respond the second I got it but I haven’t been on tumblr for a while plus I never got the email. Anyway, I am so glad that you liked it, like insanely glad! That makes me really happy. :) I love when people share the same opinion about Freddie. In the fandom, he’s attacked constantly for being “boring”, (wrongest claim ever) for loving Effy less than Cook did, (WHICH MAKES ZERO SENSE TO ME AND IS SO UNTRUE THAT IT HURTS) and other stupid reasons. So I’m always happy to see another Freddie lover. Please, talk to me anytime about Freddie. I would love that more than anything, trust me. You can be my Freddie friend.
