[ SHAVED ICE ] - Served with a wide assortment of sweet, fruity syrups. Traditionally, it is served in bowls, but some are saying it makes for quite a refreshing sip when drank from a glass.

“Pardon me!”
Rose fluttered by, holding out a bowl of shaved ice. This one was, she assumed, strawberry flavoured. Why else would it be a vibrant red? It matched the other’s hair almost completely. Enough for her to think it might be better to share with her.
“Here. In the rush, I believe the one handing these out accidentally gave me two. If you don’t like it, I can offer you this one instead.”
She held out her preferred shaved ice. It had a lovely light blue colour, the kind you would see when the sun had barely risen. “I’m not quite sure what is in either of these but they seem perfect for the weather. Plus, with everyone dancing… I think it was a nice refreshment to have.”
"Oh-- hello!" Even as she turns, Maria reflexively holds out her hands to accept the treat offered to her. Then, as if surprised at how it got there, she cranes her neck and peers at it from above and below -- a proper inspection by any measure, reflected in how her brows knit close and her head bobs in furtive, thoughtful nods. All at once she straightens up, fixing Rose with a resolute look... and her grand play crumbles into a peal of giggles.
"It matches my hair, doesn't it? Hee hee... thank you so much!" Her spoon dips into the ice, carving out a small sampling of the syrupy treat. It's sweet in the way that the aroma wafts through her mouth with a single bite, and her lips pop into a delighted smile around her spoon.
"Mmm.... you're right! It's especially refreshing since I've been dancing so much!" Her gaze bounces from bowl to bowl, blinking once, twice, thrice. "Oh -- and yours matches you so well, too! I haven't seen one that color yet... it's really pretty."
Her head cants, the flowers tucked into her hair bobbing with the motion; leaning in, she beckons Rose closer, and whispers a grand question:
"But... what flavor is it? I'm awfully curious!"
