She’s too kind for it. “You’re pretty special too. You’ve always been a really good friend to me. And you’re incredibly talented, I’ve seen you duel and you’re wicked talented.”

“can i really even answer it or do you want no one else’s answer but mine?” considering narancia’s approach in asking if he could as him a question fugo sits up a bit, gives it a bit more particular attention. there are certainly many topics fugo could ask bruno on but wouldn’t fathom to let mista or narancia consider. the same could be said for the opposite; fugo’s mind hollows on certain themes when the other conversationalist is their leader, it doesn’t matter how long he’s known bruno more than the rest.  “is this about your homework? our job for tomorrow?” there’s not a lot for him to go on.

jason’s quiet   ,   waiting for a moment to speak up.   the workshop’s always busy   ,   but he’d thought around dinner time it would’ve quietened down.   he only has to wait a few more minutes for some of leo’s siblings to leave   ,   and then he’s moving forwards and sitting himself down next to his workbench.   “   hey   ,   i need a favour.   “   he says   ,   tugging his jacket off.   he rolls the sleeve of his shirt up   ,   and takes off his arm   ,   putting it down in front of leo.   it had been made by a kid of vulcan   ,   back at camp jupiter   ,   but he’d like leo’s professional outlook on it.   “   can you make it better   ???   our vulcan kids back home are good at stuff like this   ,   but i’d like your input.   “

It’s not something Nyssa ever really thought she’d have. It’s a bit of a joke as far as senior prom goes, just the dining hall covered in streamers and decorations and a disco ball shaped like Medusa’s head hanging from the ceiling while music blasts at top volume, but it’s everything for Nyssa. It’s something normal, and fun, and makes her feel her own age. And Yang is there, which makes it even more fun for her. 

“Dance with me!” she exclaims, pulling Yang onto the dance floor. The slow song seems more on their level, especially since Nyssa is wearing heels for a change to try and get herself slightly closer to being her girlfriend’s height. She lets them sway to the music, and smiles when Yang moves in a little closer to her. 

“This is nice,” she says softly, looking up at her. “Thank you for doing this with me. I know prom’s overrated, but this has been a lot of fun.”

It’s easy for Nico to sneak around, but it still feels high stakes when they’re on a tiny ship with a bunch of people he doesn’t know or especially like all that much. But he makes his way through the Argo II to his usual meeting place with Leo, opening the door and peering inside before entering. “Leo?” he calls cautiously, squinting slightly. “I swear if you jump out at me, I’m gonna’ scream.”
