Repost from @buckscountybytes • Not sure where to begin. But another end has begun. What dream I had wasn’t supposed to become reality. But starting at 6 am today it did. Sam took a deep dive and into another realm...starting down the path to the other side. Herkales is calling Sam home. Sam the protector. The maker of laughs. The proud and the brave of all English labs...yet another story to be told. Samson, Sam as he liked to be called. Sam was the strongman, and the keeper of Herkales...his strength and love for his brother was not breakable...until Herkales left us on December 21...Sam started to become listless, depressed, not wanting to walk, and so much more. The only thing that could keep his interest was Scout, the neighbor girl dog...but even then he had to be carried to her yard...then carried back. His strength and determination just like Herkales is amazing...but he has lost this battle to be with his beloved Herk. So much has happened today...Sam will go be with Herkales tomorrow and I will have a great void...the tears flow like a River...the heart not ever healing from Herkales and to suffer yet another great loss of bonded love. I apologize to all I was supposed to have work done for podcasts, translations, and books...I will see they are finished as soon as possible. The only good news is mom beat Covid...yes my 89 year old mom beat the odds of Covid and is getting much better now. Sam was her protector. Never leaving her side at the farm. Sam says he protected mom during her crisis...and helped me through the roughest of months.
