for my birthday last august, abby and I dropped everything to roadtrip to nashville. it is one of her favorite cities in the world and I had quite a rough year, so she wanted to take me and share that experience with me. we drove the whole way and that was easily the best car ride of my life. don't even get me started on that week, SO many of my favorite people from tumblr and twitter that i've been friends with for years were there and made sure to make it extra special for me. they threw a huge party for me on my second to last night there and i've never felt more loved in my life... it gave me a whole new level of appreciation for the kind of online community we've fostered and that taylor has allowed for us to create. some of the best memories i've ever made I associate with that week 🥺 AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, our last night was the nashville rep tour show and we got upgraded to the front of the floor

so cute that you asked this (psa: zoë used to be my neighbor). I never really started to appreciate it until this year. I've always wanted to leave the area because it feels like you're encapsulated in this bubble and separated from reality ... and everyone only focuses on the things that shouldn't matter. but once I started doing things for myself, I found the beauty in places I had never been able to explore before. I go to the national park down the street almost every day and I've grown so accustomed to going there to clear my head that I don't know what i'm going to do once I move in a few weeks and have to find something to replace that. it is the best area to drive around in late at night with music blasting. it'll definitely be a place that i'll be excited to come back to when I need an escape from the busy city life
