I introduce you to..
Lovertales!
This is basically.. an underlust au but without the lust and pure love! I took Undertale and valentine's day and put them into a blender lol
Yeah I changed the name because the tag brought you to a completely different fandom lmao
Anyways! If you all know my carnivaltale, this is basically the same except changing little stuff in their lore.
Here monsters feed off from love, they need to survive and the love that comes out from the human soul, as well as the happiness, is pure and full of emotion than most species.
The humans and monsters lived happy, the monsters from this au are really friendly, cuddly and kind, you'll never see any monster angry or rude without a reason. They're small little angels.
But the humans started growing tired and bored from all the affection these monsters always needed to give and clearly needed to survive
And in a petty way, they sealed away the monsters.
The monsters, confused, oblivious and hurt from the betrayal just had to live off of their own love and affection until the humans, set them free
Yup! These monsters didn't break the barrier, the humans did it, this au was one of the first ones to be free.
And that's it lol. The "war" the humans and monsters had was because of the petty and bitter humans who couldn't handle true love and affection.
Since this au is based on valentine's day, they have chocolate, flowers, plushies, ribbons and warm colors, they're really based on plushies so their clothing is really cottagecore!
Now, this au brought a new type of monster species!
The plush monsters! These monsters are based on plushies, soft, warm and with fur! The type of plush monsters are all the animals you could imagine, the common ones are the cat and bear plush monsters!
They have buttons for eyes that can blink and be really expressive! Their limbs are sewn together and if they lose one, they can just sew it back together with no pain, whatsoever. When they are injured, their "blood" is actually cotton, which this cotton is pure magic and when out of the monster body, it will slowly disintegrate to dust like a normal monster.
These plush monsters can actually turn into steel, when they're in danger or protecting someone, they can turn their soft bodies into hard metal and even stretch their limbs if necessary! Of course this last one is extremely painful since their fur breaks and they have to sew it back together when they're not in danger anymore. That's their special ability! Stretch their limbs and turn into metal (well, not exactly turn but their fur feels like it)
And like the name of the au mentioned, these monsters (not only the plush ones) are really monogamous, if they find their soulmate, that's only their soulmate and will not be interested in anyone else. Any sharing or poly relationships can be seen as a bad or a total deal breaker for them!
Now, onto the characters!
Again, I'm missing some but I have the skeleton brothers and their family!
Amore (Lovertales sans): a sweet baby, she's like the shy version of her mother, she's the sweetest and a people pleaser since she doesn't know how to say no. She's so kind and sweet you may get a toothache lol but she is quite.. oblivious and too trustful.
Valentino (Lovertales papyrus): He is the quiet version of his father lol. He is kind and sweet but doesn't trust so easily, he's like the brain behind his family because all of them trust so easily and he just doesn't want them to get hurt. He really cares for his family and the ones that are important for him, he couldn't live with the guilt of not protecting someone he loves :(
Petal (Lovertales gaster): she is the mother of Amore and Valentino since she carried them. She really seems like a diva who has a lot of ego but she's the sweetest mother you'd ever encounter! She adopts everyone she likes and is the age of her children lol. She's really friendly and cuddly, always wanting kisses from her husband.
Oso: He is a bear plush monster and the father of Amore and Valentino. He's the soulmate of Petal and a hardworking husband. He really looks and seems kind and caring... And he is! Man is a good father, good friend and good husband. He may be a little oblivious but no one hates him.
There is pending the royals, undyne, their frisk (that was an adult that set them free) and my self insert! :D
