(Actually season one of the PPG reboot will contain forty episodes which is technically twenty as like the original it's two 11 something minute episodes put together to form one thirty something minute episode.)

In that case, I hope it gets better from here (not that I’m in a hurry to watch more.)

(I've seen this before via the Sailor Moon fandom when people were complaining non-stop over the new English dub for the classic anime and so many compliments [many similar to the ones for the PPG reboot] over Sailor Moon Crystal which thankfully is going to be no more since season three of that is beyond amazing from what I've heard. I'm just rolling my eyes at all of this stuff cause I know that after some episodes things will pick up and get good for this reboot. It's not TTG thank god.)

The issue with the PPG reboot is not only was the original a big part of many people’s childhood, but people grew up and learned about all of the feminist messages that were in it, so everybody is upholding as some god-tier piece of art that absolutely cannot be corrupted, which is absolutely not true.  I watched quite a bit of the original PPG as a kid.  It was by no means bad, but there were definitely better shows. Of course the reboot is going to be to some degree different, they’re targeting today’s kids (as in not a bunch of college/HS age bloggers), and chances are they’re not going to miss Sara Bellum or get mad over the professor’s chin being slightly different, because they weren’t even born when the original aired.  People will get over it.
