fic rec! 4K post-series Carmen Sandiego fic

Summary: After VILE collapses, Carmen keeps forging new paths, but Player remains a constant.

Comments: I love how sweet this is. Carmen is obviously trying to figure out how to 'settle' as it were, hanging out with her mom and keeping a tab on people from before. Obviously, the fic focuses on her relationship with Player, which is very dimension here - a combination of feeling bad that she's overtaken his childhood and pushing him off to be a normal kid. At one point, she tells him she can buy her own flight ticket and it's just so wholesome. Honestly, these two are the best.

happy fab friday!! a few days ago i finished draft 1 of my YA fantasy novel (103K words wooo) which was a big relief :) i'm currently working on draft 2, it's been a lot of work so far since I have a lot of revisions I want to make, but very hopeful for the future of my manuscript <3

⌛️ - what’s the longest you’ve worked on a piece of writing?

Technically… that would be TDWAD, which I think was started around the end of 2019 (October-December ish), though it’s spent 90% of that on the back burner, so I’m not sure if that counts. Time spent actively writing/with more attention would probably be LAWLB for… maybe a year? Even when that’s been on the back burner, it crosses my mind often enough.
