Samantha stuns in a dragonfly fairy costume.  Her green silk dress is embroidered with dragonflies and trimmed with white and gold braid.  The lower sleeves have gold lining.  She has a gold rope belt with crystal beaded accents and a coordinating necklace.  Her crown is gold with bronze sequins, metallic and pearl beads, and dragonfly accents.  She wears removable gold wings and carries a gold and copper scepter with pearl, crystal, and metal accents.  This one-of-a-kind costume is one of Samantha’s favorites.

Samantha’s pocketed skirt with self-belt and a matching collared blouse stun with a row of coordinating fuchsia buttons (snaps).  Samantha is looking forward to finding a good tree to sit under and read her Harry Potter book, which she carries in her lined denim book bag.

With cooler fall and winter weather, Samantha likes to wear her double-breasted wool peacoat.  The hood keeps her head warm when it gets chilly or breezy, and she loves the green buttons and green flower lining which adds an extra layer of warmth.  She loves her cargo pants in the fall and winter because there are always interesting things to find and bring home - or to carry some mittens or a snack!

Samantha is prepped for a fall day out with a comfy/cute suede hat, a sunny yellow peplum top, a denim jacket, peacock blue leggings, and white (for now) sneakers.  She carries an iPhone so she can text her friends and find out the plan.  iPhone crafted based on plans from americangirlideas.com.

Samantha wears a sunshine-yellow dress with white contrast ruffle on the bodice.  She carries a snakeskin bag to hold all of her adventuring supplies.  She sports her favorite all-occasion microsuede shoes so she can get where she’s going and do what she’s gotta do.

One of my favorite quilts, this one is called “Baby Planets”.  This is the first one I’ve done with circles and with stitches making a pattern rather than stitching in the ditch.  This is a baby quilt suitable for cuddling or display.  This is also the first quilt I did with batiks, and also the first quilt with appliqué.

Samantha is ready for recess in her adorable play clothes.  Her hat keeps the sun off her face and her shoes are made for running.  A loose-fitting smock with kimono sleeves pair with cute cotton ruffled capris for a fun and bright outfit.  Samantha is sure to be noticed in hot pink.

This quilt was a labor of love for my best friend’s baby.  Here it is hanging on the wall in the nursery.  My friend likes grey and natural colors, and her goal was a soothing and calm nursery.  I thought this quilt turned out really well, and she was so thrilled with it.  I forgot to take photos of the finished quilt before I gave it to her, so here it is on the wall when I went to visit her again when her baby was 10 months old.
