I don’t think we ever talk about how terrifying love actually is. Love is putting another person’s need before you’re own, and at the same time knowing they have the power to neglect that. I’m not a perfect person much less a perfect romantic partner, I’ve been through my fair share of toxic relationships with toxic people. Have I handled them well...no. not at all really. I believe there’s a certain path people can take when they are the victim of a disloyal s/o or a victim of a manipulative or abusive s/o. You can heal and grow strong and become a better person, or, you can get weaker and succumb to the pain and hurt and often times develop your own toxic traits. In relationships as my case goes I’m a very “loving” person. An empath if you want me to be frank. I take the abuse and poor treatment because I like to believe there is a better person deep down inside I just gotta find it. And unfortunately, sometimes there is nothing to be found. And I’m sure others feel the same. In my case after a detrimental relationship when I get into a new one I show my vulnerability instead of hiding it and expose myself as a “emotional mess” and often will drive them away. All I wanna give to people is my love the only thing I ask in turn is their love back. Love is unfair, love is kind, love is just so goddamn cruel, love is amazing, love is terrifying, love is something... I can’t even fully begin to describe.
pull me down hard and drown me in love
