Happy Valentine’s Day!! At BIBLF we love Valentine’s Day and celebrating love! One of the things we love most of course is BOOKS! So for this day, we have decided to share our absolutely most loved children’s books with you. It was hard for most of us to decide which one has the biggest hold on our hearts while a few of us knew immediately. Take a look to see if your favorite was one of our favorites! So, to start, mine (Michele’s) is the Little Golden Book, “Mr. Bell’s Fixit Shop” by Ronne Randall. This heartwarming tale is about Mr. Bell and his ability to fix everything and anything except broken hearts or so he thinks. I love this book for the pure fact that one small act can make a huge difference for someone. Katie’s is “A Grey Bear with a Blue Nose? The Me to You Story” by Miranda. She found this adorable book when her son Jake was born and it has stuck with her all these years later. Shelby’s favorite is “Rainbow Fish” by Marcus Pfister for the beautiful illustrations. Amanda absolutely loves “Dewey Bob” by Judith Byron Schachner for the message of the story. Nate’s favorite is “Horton Hatches an Egg” by Dr. Seuss. Erin’s favorite children’s book is “Rapunzel and the Seven Dwarfs: A Maynard Moose Tale” by Willy Claflin. This book makes all of us laugh especially when Erin reads it aloud! Jason’s favorite book is the young adult book, “My Side of the Mountain,” by Jean Craighead George while Brian loves the classic, “Where the Wild Things Are,” by Maurice Sendak. A.O. has many favorite stories but if I had to guess, his current favorite would be “What was I Scared Of?” by Dr. Seuss. We hope that you have found a book that makes your heart as happy as all of these makes ours! Happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours from everyone here at Believe in Books Literacy Foundation!
