Wing Zone Introduces Limited-Time Fresh Catch Items
Wing Zone Philippines has just launched their new limited-time dishes that are perfect for meatless Fridays and for those who are getting their summer bodies ready for the beach. I’m preparing to travel to my resort destinations this month so these are just what I need to keep me in shape.
Introducing Wing Zone’s Fresh Catch! These are four new limited-time only menu items which were just launched last April 1, 2019 featuring crunchy and yummy fried fish with your choice of sides. Since this is Wing Zone, the flavor specialists, all these fish items may also be infused with over 17 of their signature flavors. I’m really serious about trying to lose weight, so I need all the help I can get.
Wing Zone Philippines opened its first branch in December 2017 at the second level of The Atrium in SM Megamall and has since expanded to a total of five outlets in Metro Manila including Glorietta, Araneta Center, Ayala Malls Feliz, and Mall of Asia.
Wing Zone Philippines is operated by Viva International Food & Restaurants, which is growing its portfolio of restaurant concepts that include Paper Moon, Botejyu, Pepi Cubano, and Yogorino. Matt Friedman and Adam Scott opened their first Wing Zone store in 1995 in Gainesville, Florida, churning out fantastic Buffalo Wings flavors for the concept’s avid followers. Known as Flavorholics, Wing Zone’s focus is on flavor fuzing their menu items, from burgers to their wide variety of wings.
Of course, the main attraction at Wing Zone are still their wings. There are 17 different flavors to choose from, including one of their newest flavors, the Savory Adobo. These crispy chicken wings are given the sour and salty taste of the Filipino adobo which you will not find in any other chicken wings restaurant.
But for this summer season, guests also have the option of ordering these Fresh Catch items which are lighter on the calories but definitely not on flavor. These will also be perfect for those abstaining from meat during Lent.
Let’s start with the Fish & Chips (P230) which comes with a hearty fried fish fillet and a serving of potato chips on the side. You can also choose any of the 17 flavors to accompany your dish as its sauce.
The fish is perfectly cooked with its light but crunchy coating leading into its soft and tender flesh. The serving is good enough for a light lunch or a quick afternoon snack. You can also add P30 for a glass of lemonade or iced tea.
Guests can also choose the Fish & Wedges (P230) which comes with thick potato wedges instead of chips. I do like potato fries more so this is a better alternative for me. I can also dip the wedges into the sauce, whether it be sweet, savory or spicy.
Filipinos always want to have rice with their meals, so the Fish & Rice (P210) is probably the best option for lunch or dinner. I know I’m trying to avoid carbs, but I just couldn’t help asking for a cup of rice to go along with my delicious fish. It also comes with a side salad, so that should count as being a healthy dish, right?
Lastly, the Fish Burger (P240) is another option for those who prefer to bite into their sandwiches. This is the most different among the four items as the fried fish comes coated in your favorite signature sauce. The Liquid Gold is a good one to pick with its sweet and savory notes. It also comes with potato chips on the side. Make sure to drop by any of the Wing Zone outlets this summer and try their limited-time Fresh Catch items. Happy summer!
