Amaia joins back LOVG after 17 years and the news left me overstimulated af, so I finished a drawing versioning a meme of one of their songs in digital to...celebrate? Idk. They'll always be my comfort music in any case.

I've been listening to La oreja de Van Gogh for over 22 years. The first time I listened to one of their songs I was 6 and I remember going to where the radio was and sit there listening to "La playa" for the first time. That was the day I fell in love with their music.

When I say I listen to their music, I don't mean casually. I'm talking about listening to them whenever I'm in a good mood, or bad mood. And most importantly, it's my music choice whenever I'm doing my crafts and I need inspiration. Some days I sit down to work on my sculptures for hours on end and La oreja is the only thing playing in the background. Most things I've written or done in my life were inspired by their music.

I can sing every single song start to end as soon as the music starts playing, and I'm really proud of that for some reason.

I don't listen to this music genre in general. I'm a rock and roll fan, mostly. Most of the music I listen to is 70s and 80s rock, and then, unrelated to it all is La oreja. It's so strange and yet so beautiful because it makes them even more special.

Last Saturday I had the chance to listen to them live for the third time in my life and I couldn't be happier.

I don't know why, but I wanted to share this part of me with you. I think their music has shaped me in a way. Their songs have taught me a lot about art and they have inspired me. And I guess I want other people to feel the same way. I want you to find something or someone who inspires you as much as LOVG inspires me.
