Chico woman found dead in lower Bidwell Park

I found out about this at the Chico Shalom Clinicandthriftstore where I had spoken to Lisa about doing a wellness check on a homeless friend near the bathrooms. We ended up calling the EMTS. The last thing he said to me as they wheeled him away in the stretcher was to tell my wife I love her.

As I type a homeless man is begging for food at the thrift store. He is saying he always gets snack packs from the lady here. I revisit checking my bag one more time and I find six ounces of trailmix. It's as if I gave him a fifty dollar bill.

Homelessness is a public health and Saftey crisis that is killing people, some slower than others. All the while we focus energy on ways to eliminate them from sight instead of eliminating their suffering. God bless them all and god bless each and everyone of us.
