I would ship you with Thomas Sharpe - not just aesthetically (although, yes, okay, that is a part of it) but also because you would be willing to dig your heels in and say "No", when stuff gets crazy over at yonder Crimson Peak. More people would probably survive.

I hope I would, though there’s no way of knowing for sure!  At the very least, I’ve been told I look a little like Jessica Chastain, so I guess I’m his type...

Also, Frederick Frankenstein (as in Young Frankenstein), because your sense of humor would work. And he's the only person in the whole Frankenstein family with something resembling a sane moral compass. Who doesn't love Gene Wilder?

Doing my Mel Brooks marathon over Chanukah really drove home how cute Gene Wilder is.  So cute.  The cutest.

This is somewhat in response to the safety pin question (which is wonderful!), but I was wondering if you had any suggestions for those of us who always wear a rattle-trap amount of safety pins who want to show our solidarity and support? Something that will stand out as more than just a statement on fashion or how badly our favorite jacket is falling apart?

I don’t have a good answer, other than actions speak louder than words or symbols. 

Peeps reading this: do you have any suggestions for a visible symbol other than a safety pin? One that will stand out from other safety pins?

Cocktail question: I just came into a large quantity of homemade lavender liqueur from a friend, and have no real idea what to do with it. It's not sweet but very flavorful. Suggestions?

I once had a lavender lemon drop that was amazing- I don’t know the exact ratio the bartender used, but I imagine it could be recreated with two ounces vodka (citrus or regular), 3/4 ounce lemon juice, 3/4 ounce simple syrup, 1/2 ounce lavender syrup (less if the flavor is too strong.)  Serve it in a sugar-rimmed cocktail glass with a slice of lemon.

By that same token, I imagine you could put half an ounce into a gin fizz (2 ounces gin, 3/4 ounce lemon juice, 3/4 ounce simple syrup, topped with soda.)

3. Denomination

Conservative...ish.  I’m still trying to find a shul I like here, and to determine what kind of services I actually want, but I was raised Conservative.  My wedding was Jewish Renewal, though.

Normally regular, but there was an egg challah with raisins I used to love that I can’t find anywhere anymore.

Byzantine, Romanticism, Contemporary

Byzantine: I probably prefer gold on the whole, though silver goes with more things.

Romanticism: I’m not the most optimistic of people, honestly.  It’s the depression, though it’s gotten better over the years.

Contemporary: Today I followed a makeup tutorial, picked up a book on hold at the library and went to the dentist.

Favorite type of perfume/scents?

Dark chocolate, whatever the hell is in BPAL’s Blood Popsicle, and things like Chanel’s Coromandel. So, in perfume terms, gourmand Orientals? Vanilla, chocolate, amber, incense, oud, a trace of GOOD pachouli, and maybe some rose.
