Lying awake, puzzle of bones
Still held together by translucent skin
My veins flow with poison and my joints crack with rust
My minds on fire, my body’s a husk
My roots are buries deep but made of paper and clay
They absorb from the earth but do nothing but disintegrate
I feel the distance but the motions my own
Surrounded by rats and I’m still alone
If what keeps me alive makes me a ghost to you
Then I’ll come back and I’ll haunt this town too
I’m breathing dust while I’m crawling through the dirt
And now I’m the lowest
