Last night when I was going to sleep, you know, at 7 in the morning, I felt like I was going to cry because I turn 20 tomorrow and how much I felt like I didn’t accomplish when comparing to other 20 year-olds/people who are even younger than me. It’s a bad thing to do. I know. You don’t have to tell me twice. But I don’t have a lot of money, I didn’t apply for a university, I never got to love my body no matter how much it changed, and I could never find something to say I was good at.

Despite being up all night, my mind and body couldn’t get to sleep comfortably. Why did I have to think of this right before sleeping? But then I remembered something.

I fucking MADE IT to 20. As of midnight tonight, I lived to see the day, something 12 to 17 year-old Lindsay never thought would happen because she thought she was going to die after each birthday passed. But that wasn’t done alone.

My greatest accomplishment was meeting and making all of the friends I have now. Every single one of the friends I have now, the ones that supported me, the ones that made me smile, the ones who replied to my messages and bought me food and reblogged my selfies and just gave me the gift of their presence, I met them before I was 20. If you took the time to read this, you’re probably one of said friends. I love you dearly. Thank you.

Fire crackles ; full moon

Fire crackles: My ideal winter’s evening would have to be walking around downtown Grand Rapids with coffee or hot chocolate, listening to 90s alt rock, and going home to a cute little apartment where I could listen to more music and watch snowfall on the city as it fell peaceful for the night.Full moon: I like the moon a lot, I’m pretty drawn to it. :) I have a hard time finding constellations, but I’d still probably pick that over picking petals off flowers—the thought of that gives me a little anxiety, for some reason.Thank you for asking!! xx
