Oh, pastel for sure... because then I can look like a Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts character orz

Yeah, maintenance is hard but it would definitely make me pay more attention to my roots which isn’t a bad thing

totally agree about the username thing. I just don’t like how LONG it makes some of the posts, and I’d gotten used to the flow of posts before and now it feels disjointed. Eh I’ll probably be used to it in a week and will have completely forgotten.

like that’s the thing in a week’s time everyone will be used to it

tho it’s a pity, if xkit was still being developed there could be an in dash read more/expand option for long posts (like a youtube description)

as it is we’d have to rely on tumblr to develop it in which case...lol....

Technical issues-wise, my game crashes frequently and has also crashed my computer on one occasion. The audio went very quiet & the bgm non-existent after I finished recruiting the mages and I can’t find a way to fix it.

I have the party banter bug, which made the big empty areas 20x more depressing and now means that I have to fuck around time wasting at the beginning of each new area saving and loading autosaves to get it to trigger which I shouldn’t have to do especially this long after launch.

There’s an awful lot of clipping errors or general animation errors which were present in DA2 but not to such a degree

Design issues-wise, it feels like they decided/caved into having an ‘open world feel’ without actually having an awful lot of actual content to fill it up with. A lot of the side quests feel meaningless and impersonal -  we all ‘know’ side quests are a time sink, but I shouldn’t be able to notice that whilst playing.

For instance, I just finished the area where you rescue your soldiers from the Avvar. There’s a few side things to do, there’s some personal investment in rescuing your own people and it feels nice & neat and finished now that I’m done with it (certainly not going back to find the last two landmarks I didn’t find though, sorry!) In comparison, the Coast and the Hinterlands have felt bloated, overly long and boring.

Which is weird for me, I love side quests. I did every available one in DAO and DA2, except for where they conflicted for RP reasons and didn’t feel bored at all in DAO and only once I got to Act 3 in DA2.

The limited abilities bar & further simplification of ability trees along with inability to customise my stats makes me wonder why the hell they bothered making an ‘RPG’.

Resource gathering is terrible and flow breaking and unfortunately so so necessary because....

No healing magic??? Why????? (*thinks of all my Origins spells* *sheds a tiny tear*)

The tactical view is a nightmare from hell and must be banished back to the shadow realm from whence it came. Give me a proper zoom out or none at all, don’t tease me like this Bioware :(

My Inquisitor & Leliana’s posture and walk animations are terrible (not to mention most of the hairstyles & the shininess everywhere)

The PC version is a console port, with absolutely terrrrrible controls. Which wouldn’t be so bad, but the past two games were perfectly fine!

The thing that makes all these problems so irritating to me (along with the fact I don’t really think they’ve properly been held to account for them) is that the good things...are really good! You can tell which parts had a lot of love, thought and attention poured into them because they work well. I just wish they’d had more time/money/QA/less executive meddling or whatever the problem was, because I can glimpse the game I want to be playing through the bad.

Pet peeve #2580: Why do they always dump in front of Haven instead of in front of the Chantry. At least let me run straight there instead of making me go around the sides!
