i had a friend who got similar purity-wank shitty comments on her fic, and the only way she got rid of them was taking their platform away. she made it so all comments had to be approved before they could be seen, and then just deleted them without even reading them entirely. eventually the anons just gave up. they're just attention-seeking jerks who can't write their own material and so want to control someone else's- don't let 'em get to you, my dude
Hey, thanks so much for your message! I’m hoping as this is just one disgruntled anon that it won’t get to that. I’m really sorry that happened to your friend, that really sucks. I agree about not giving them oxygen, that’s why I haven’t replied to these messages. Completely different if they messaged me off anon, or even on anon, but were polite and asked me why I depict Reddie in this way. But instead it’s just word vomit, and of the most hurtful kind. Hypocritical too, because they criticise what they deem to be themes of abuse in my fics while the comments they leave are completely abusive. Besides, there are tons of Reddie fics that aren’t like mine, so why don’t they just focus on the ones they do like?
