Kiyotaka’s eyes had fluttered open at the sound of voices, and he’d attempted to shuffle into a somewhat-upright position. He was still feeling rather weak, but Mondo said he just needed to start eating more and gaining the weight he lost back. Still, it was hard to do that when he’d only been able to stomach a few things on top of his apples.
His shirt was loose, looser than it had been when Kiyo last saw him, and his thinner arms shook as he tried to sit up. Mondo was there in an instant, however; helping him sit up and placing soft pillows behind his back. He murmured a quiet thank you before turning to Kiyo, exhaustion evident in every crease in his features.
“Hello, Kiyo,” He greeted with a nod, a little quiet, but not too different besides that, “I hope you’re well; I’m sorry for disappearing...”
