She had wanted to skip the service in the sept. She would pray to no god that was not her own, and The Drowned God did not accept prayers that were not uttered into the depths of the water. She had intended to submerge herself in the Blackwater and hold a service of her own, private but no less holy than whatever show was going on in the sept. Unfortunately, it became very clear that it was called the Blackwater because it was just that - black. The water was filthy, and stunk like shit. She did not want to go near it, much less drown herself in it. And so she did the next best thing she could. She caused chaos.
The maids had been confused when she had asked them to prepare a bath. They were even more confused when she got in and lay down, fully clothed, moments before she was expected at the mass. She limped to the Sept of Baelor, dripping all the way, hair curling in wild, wet tangles. For the first time since her injury, she didn’t mind being looked at. In fact, she welcomed it. She caught the eyes of another, and a smirk grew over her face. “You have your Gods, and I have mine.” was her only explanation.
