it’s hard to greet her sister with anything more than a little laughter, with how quickly she arrives. in a whirlwind and with ample excitement. not to mention it was damn near impossible to miss her presence. ❝ and here i’d hoped you would have brought me a relic from home, ❞ anysa sighed wistfully, though her smile is exceptionally wide as she offers a shake of her head. ❝ sister, you spoil them. these are absolutely exquisite, ❞ and her praise is genuine, fingers trailing across the beautiful fabric that adorned the dolls, and the smooth wood of the horse. ❝ how admirable of you, amerei, though i’m sure they’re getting far better use on these dolls than the back of your wardrobe, no ? if camren starts asking for his own steed after this, ❞ a motion to the toy horse as she settled in the seat across from her sister, ❝ i know i will only have you to blame. ❞ there’s a soft sigh as fingers rest atop her abdomen. ❝ it treats me as well as to be expected. rather tiring, of course, though i could hardly pass up the opportunity to see you again. ❞
Though married, Anysa was still a lion. In truth, Casterly Rock had not been the same since she had left, and it wasn’t for the better. Amerei missed her sister, missed their father, and was loathe to admit how lonely she had really been of late. Even though years had passed since Lucan had ascended to ruling lord, she would have given almost anything to go back to how they were before. “I am the relic,” she pointed out, shooting her sister a look of faux-outrage. “Besides, home hardly feels like home anymore. Something like this, like the old times, is the best gift I can give you.” She glowed with pride at the compliment. She did not waste her time on many pursuits, but she had taken more pleasure in crafting little outfits for the dolls than she cared to admit. “It is the most I can do from afar, Nysa. Whilst we are here, I intend to make up for lost time.” There was a truth to her words.Though Amerei did not attempt to hide her confidence, her love, and her priority for herself, those that knew her best could not deny that the blonde possessed some ounce of sensitivity, a secret thoughtfulness when it came to those she loved. “Perhaps so, but it did take me ages to decide which dress I did not need anymore.” She broke off, clapping her hands with glee at the idea. “If he should ask for a pony, then I will make sure he has one before we depart. A sand steed from Dorne, a little blonde foal so they may grow together.” She was carried away with the idea, and almost forgot about her prior question. Unbidden, she leaned across, placing her hand atop Anysa’s growing stomach. “Are you sure this trip isn’t too much for you? In your condition?”
