A lifting of his hand to block the sudden vision of a lens camera in his view. It was too late however, he saw spots in front of his eyes then after the bright flash. He responded with a huff at first, sliding his fingers into his hair to bring the strands back from his eyes; a slight form of exasperation he often performed.

He hated the paparazzi when out on his terms of leisure but he was accustomed to it with the role he took on with the world. “Are you satisfied?” He questioned, eyeing the other and the cheerful disposition he exulted.

Noctis tried not to let what happened before Valentine’s Day get in the way of his daily interactions with his best friend but without much success. The situation might have been better if it was the weekend after the day for them to cool down a bit, but unfortunately, it was a weekday and normal school day resumed.

He greeted Prompto like he usually did when he saw him, yet he felt very awkward about it and hesitated about what to talk about next.

Space is the trickiest part of it. One wrong move and they could end up causing some very real damage to the upholstery, and Noctis wouldn’t be at all please. It’s probably a good thing that the prince isn’t anywhere in earshot because he’d likely have a conniption fit if he knew what they’re planning.

“Prompto, you’re smaller than me, so you first,” Ignis says, gesturing towards the Regalia. The theory behind it is good, but in practice it’s not quite as successful as either man would like.

There are many grunt and groans, muttered curses and a bruises by the end of it. The car has fared better than the men, thankfully. Puffing and panting, they both attempt to catch their breaths.

“That wasn’t nearly as bad as I feared,” Ignis confesses, giving Prompto a small smile. “I give you the credit for a good idea.”

Prompto looks delighted by the praise. As well he should be! Not only have the tracked down an unusual birthday gift for Gladio, they’ve somehow managed to fit a surf board into the back of the car.
