As many surprises as Eidolon holds, it never seems to cease surprising her. Sasume thinks she sees something, is sure she hasn’t, then does a double take... to see a very big, very plush-looking dog.

(Okay, maybe it’s a wolf, but if it’s not acting like a puppy right now then it’s acting like a damn cuckoo bird.)

She crouches in front of the hound, stars in her eyes. Logically, she tells herself she should be calm, but... it’s acting like a dog. In Eidolon. Would a friendly wolf resident really be all that odd?

At first she coos, unable to help the baby-talk compliments and praise, but then... Well. What else is she supposed to do?

Soon enough she’s wrapping her arms around the canine and burying her face in his warm scruff, squeezing her eyes shut tight  and inhaling the calming scent of fur.

a closed palm rests against her chest, golden strands of hair flickering in the stray breeze. She breathes in a little, closes her eyes, then exhales through her nose. The lake itself seemed crystal clear, a fine, warm mist rising from the surface; it provided something of a comfort to the contrast of the frigid city that lay outside.

if one peers just enough, the item is visible within the depths of the pool. 

she scowls just a little at the swimming gear almost spilling out of the bag that Vira had thrown in a rushed manner earlier. The idea of stripping down, in this weather was almost unmentionable. “ tch, honestly-- “ she mutters under her breath.

it’s then she notices the ruffling in the bushes and spies the being that emerges forth.

Gilgamesh breathed into his hands, his hot breathe causing a faint cloud to fall through his fingers. He had been out in this snowy forest for too long, the tree stump he had perched on was uncomfortable from the start, but now it was getting to be too much. The pad of paper he had brought with him was full of enough sketches and calculations for now, he assumed, and he was growing wearier by the moment. 

How annoying, that a King such as himself should be left to do this work in such terrible conditions. Sure, it was better that he was the one doing the planning for gathering lumber than it was to actually be one of the people cutting trees down for it, but it was nonetheless no position he should be in. 

Just a little while longer, he hoped, before his power would return to him, and he would have a proper position of superiority once more. For now, he stood and wiped off his lap, and he was just about gathering up his supplies before he saw something out of the corner of his attentive serpentine eyes. 

“Who dares approach me without announcement?” he called out promptly, standing up straight. Whether it was human or animal, surely the response would sort it out.

She had seen a wide assortment of injuries in the time Ophilia had been serving as a physician’s assistant, enough that the man remarked that she had a surprisingly strong stomach for her appearance. Laughing warmly, it is all she can say that a cleric’s duties include tending to the wounded in times of need. Never mind the bloodshed of a battlefield. Never mind the falling of companions.

The young, though, were a sore spot. People around Tressa’s age... she couldn’t help but panic slightly at the thought of them getting into trouble -- standing up straight in alarm when a young boy enters the place.

“Ah... are you alright?!” Perhaps she was overreacting, but...
