Bellamy never knew much about his father, all he knew is his mother had been love struck by a charming guard when she was in her late 20′s. They hadn’t known each other very long before they started dating and wasn’t much longer after than when she became pregnant with Bellamy. Their relationship began to dwindle however within the third month being together, Victor began flirting with other women —– caring less and less for Aurora and when she told him she was pregnant he ended things with her. Thus, Bellamy was born and when he was 4 years old, Victor was floated for beating up his then girlfriend almost to death. Aurora never spoke about his father and when he was old enough to ask, she simply said he was charming and that he had been a guard. He grew up thinking just that, knowing nothing about what his father had really been like, and what he had done to be floated. His mother never told he that his father even was floated, just that he died and it was for the best. Once Octavia was born he had to not only be her brother but also be like a father to her, it was in this time that he wished his father had still been alive and when he voiced this opinion to Aurora, it was when she told him the truth. Hatred, abandonment, sadness —- all those emotions twisted together in his heart. Not only did he spend most of his time wishing his father was with him, but also thinking he was good. Now he thought of him as nothing more than a scumbag. Holding his baby sister he couldn’t imagine having a child and not wanting to keep and protect them. It’s that force, that knowledge —- knowing his father didn’t want him, that made him determined to love his sister all that much MORE.
