NIA:
Through vast trepidation and tremors of pure affliction , Azplana not only survived , but CONQUERED all the odds that were placed against her during the course of survival . The world had been set aflame and her homeland was destroyed along with the rest — thus forcing Nia’s hand to surpass the STRUGGLE and see to another day . Death was not an option . Food was gathered and shelter was obtained quickly after escaping THE GRIM’S CLUTCHES and tending to her wounds that were now maimed scars beneath her armor ( Leksa’s permanent mark — no less ) and the days and nights became a quick routine after . For YEARS , Nia of Azgeda lived in wasteland , solitude , silence … never speaking a word for there was NO ONE there to listen — until she heard word that the bunker finally opened . NIA HAD TO WITNESS IT , EVEN IF IT’D COST HER LIFE . It was like a breath of fresh air upon seeing that familiar face again ( and it not be a cruel dream ) , and her heartbeat seemingly reverberated from within her chest — a reminder that the FERAL creature was indeed very human , and cared deeply … Laying her weapons to rest , Nia took ONE SINGLE STEP closer to the ghost of her past as piercing blue eyes lock onto her ; regality roughly returning to her despite her time disbanded from her throne . In this moment , Azplana was withering away into the abysmal destruction of the world to which they STILL managed to survive in — leaving Nia trying desperately to rekindle a part of her she thought was long , long dead . “ It’s — good to see you again , Kensi . ”
@azenkru continued.
IT HAD BEEN A LONG SIX YEARS.
learning to coexist with skaikru and trikru had been difficult, but octavia had earned the right to make the decision she did. and kensi had kept a watchful eye over them all. there were those from their former enemies she now respected, and between them and those she still counted FRIENDS amongst azgeda, most of them made it out of the bunker alive. and teslin, the girl who reminded kensi so much of her fallen love, had taken to the throne with grace, walking the line between peace and tradition with poise she hadn’t thought their people would achieve again.
but there was ONE PERSON she wanted to see more than anything else. and until this very moment, she’d thought it impossible. the universe certainly did keep finding ways to keep them on their toes.
hands caressed scarred cheeks before one moved to wipe away rapidly falling tears. ❝ i love you. ❞ the confession was whispered over and over again, like she couldn’t stop. ❝ i never got to say it enough before and...i was so sure i’d NEVER get the chance to again, but now that i do ? i love you. i know things might have changed, but gods nia. just...just knowing you’re alive. that’s enough. that’s more than enough. ❞
