* Újból visszatértem, a képen pedig egy felvált húrtartó helyére kerülő egyedi alkatrész felragasztása látható. Az új húrtartót a hangszer gazdája készítette, nagyon szép munka. Mivel nem akartuk felbontani a hangszert egy ilyen feladat miatt, úgy döntöttem, műgyantával fogom felragasztani. Ehhez először megtisztítottam a felületet a rajta lévő waxtól, majd szilikonszalag segítségével a helyére erősítettem. A műgyanta nagy előnye, hogy maximális kötésszilárdságot képes úgy is létrehozni, ha a ragasztandó felületek nem préselődnek szorosan össze. Faragasztóhoz valószínűleg ez a szorítás kevés lett volna, de műgyantához teljesen megfelelő. A szorítás feladata itt az alkatrész helyén tartása, valamint a lehető legtöbb felesleges műgyanta kiszorítása. * I'm back again. On the picture you can see the gluing of a new tailpiece replacing the original loose one. The new tailpiece is made by the owner, and it's really nice work. Since we really didn't want to open up the body, I decided to use epoxy for the gluing process. I first cleaned the surface from the wax, then held the pieces together with a silicon bandage. The big benefit of using resin glue is, that it doesn't need big pressure on the gluing surfaces to reach the maximum adhesive power. For wood glue this method would be probably too weak, but for epoxy, it's ideal.
