Thank you. It's really hard cause, like, I know that good people can do terrible things and that sometimes good people just snap for whatever reason, but it's surreal and agonizing when it actually happens. Even more so when there are absolutely zero warning signs; his family has been thinking the past few months over, wondering if there was something they missed, if there was something that they could have done to prevent this, and there was nothing. It's even worse because no one will ever get any answers. The best we can do is guess and theorize. And a whole life of helping people is completely obliterated, and there are people - who never even met him - making him out like he's some villain who tricked us all for his whole life. You know, it'd be great if the world was divided into good people and villains, but that's not how it works, not how it's ever worked, and it does a disservice to everyone to pretend otherwise.

And to top it all off, I just learned today that my church has been getting violent phone calls and emails - like, what, we're all somehow responsible for what he did? And the director for his funeral has been getting threats - for, what? Doing his job? The whole thing is completely fucked up all around.

Sorry about going off on a rant. I think I've reached the anger stage of grief, and unfortunately, there's just so much to be angry about...

The humidity in BC makes cold an entirely different beast that soaks through everything and sucks the life out of you. My sis from Winnipeg cannot stand the winters here and prefers the dry colds the rest of the country gets

Its not really all of BC, just the coast. Kamloops is really dry (its in a rainshadow).

I can already feel the difference. Sometimes like 3-5 degrees on the coast feels colder than the -3 to -5 I've been experiencing now.

Sorry, its a bad habit. When people get angry at me I get defensive. It grows out of the stubbornness I've had all my life.

I'm trying to be better. And I can see now I should have handled today better.

hey if it makes you feel any better, i just turned 30 earlier this year and my parents have been paying my rent as well. fiscal failure likes company too? maybe? lol
