Listen to the life-changing love and energy in that room! 🖤
Friday was one of the most important, formative, beautiful days of my life. Never in a million years would baby me (or even two weeks ago me) have thought one day I’d be walking a catwalk for a London fashion show and yet here we are. It feels weirdly fitting I spent this morning reading through some forwarded psychiatric notes from childhood appointments I have no memory of, talking about how difficult that strange little ‘boy’ found it to fit in and make friends or enjoy ‘boy’ things – I wish I could take this video back and show them where we end up.
Representation is so supremely important, now more than ever, and that @londonqueerfashionshow has created a platform that demonstrates the many shapes and forms beauty and love and life come in for us and for every generation that follows is beyond a blessing – thank you for the honour and privilege to have been asked to participate in it.
And for such a supremely talented and gorgeously sweet trans-owned designer too, no less! Thank you @narclsslsm for having me, and for walking hand in hand with me – the love you hear in that room for your hard work and talent and kindness is so deeply earned.
Thanks @calliefx for the gorgeous makeup and repeat touch-ups and @harnessandmane for the exquisite hair-work (and 52 hairpins – I counted them aha!)
And thank you @aisha_shaibu_lenoir @lucylondonofficial @robynexton and anyone ive missed or forgotten cos I’m bad with names thank you and ily and I’m sorry and thank you 🖤
And to @markeyew for capturing and sharing this video 🖤
