i posted this on tiktok but i figured it would have more of an audience on here lol
i can’t hear the word “rest” the same way anymore
the closest thing they will ever get to having gay sex is beating each other up until they are bruised and covered in blood
i think the failure (hah.) of tvl was that it had no direction or stakes going in. the only set up was 2x7 when lestat was like "im going on tour!!" and 3x1 barely set up any plot or stakes or direction for the season. IWTV was all set up and structured and i think it thrived in that format and deviations from it (like san fransisco) but the plot of tvl was lestats on tour and fucking his mom and dealing with his trauma. theres no big through line. there was no build up to the finale. it didnt really resolve a whole lot. i hesitate to say things are confusing because i figure it must be my personal error if im confused by it but the plot of tvl was confusing as fuck.
the pitt is just a series of fanfic tropes and homosexual tensions
the vampire lestat feels like a pile of bones but no ligaments to connect them.
"they didnt even kiss" the last scene should be so much more than that. that should mean something. the scene in the bookshop when aziraphale does the finger kiss. that should mean something. the whole fucking episode is more than a kiss ever could have gotten across. their love is so much more than that.
