The character I first fell in love with

Aang. He is a small baby and I want to protect him.

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now

Zuko. Oh my word, I just don't understand how I was so wrong? I was getting this ridiculous, like, Joffrey-esque vibe from him at the beginning. Now I'm still getting horrible Game of Thrones feelings, but instead he's like... Sansa or Daenerys Stormborn Targaryen Mother of Dragons... Also a huge dork and I love him so much and relate to his constant berating of himself for sucking at things in general. And I love how his swordsmanship is kind of "I could be a hibachi chef in my spare time if I wanted to be."

The character everyone else loves that I don’t

Um. No one? Like I literally love everyone including the bad guys except the ones no one is supposed to like. I really hate Zhao. I don't think anyone likes Zhao, though. Also Ozai and his father.

The character I love that everyone else hates

I really care about Azula even though she's scary af. I have a genuine affection for her, too, even though I don't want her to "win." Ty Lee is painfully adorable and frightening.

The character I used to love but don’t any longer

No one rlly. Still honeymooning, tbh.

The character I would totally smooch

They need to be older, but Aang or Zuko or Katara. Any. I really love them and their adult forms and personalities are all appealing to me.

The character I’d want to be like

Katara. Kataraaaaa. I already relate to her a lot, but I could do better. Except I wanna be a firebender. But yeah.

The character I’d slap

Sokka, occasionally. (And Katara usually does it for me, and it's wonderful.) But I love him and have his best interests at heart.

A pairing that I love

Most of my conscious thoughts right now are about my OT3: Aang/Katara/Zuko. I also like all component ships. Aang/Katara, Katara/Zuko, and Aang/Zuko, even though I have no desire for Aang and Katara to be kept from one another in any arrangment. I am also interested in some form of Azula/Mai/Ty Lee. Yep. Sokka/Suki is cute but I haven't seen much yet.

A pairing that I don’t

Um, like, conflicting shipping preferences completely aside, I'm wary of Zuko/Mai. The jury is still out but I just have a lot of "This feels like it's impossible that it's coming from ANYWHERE good for ANYONE" red flags screaming at me. I could be wrong, though - this show surprises me all the time. Like I said, jury is out. I followed someone who loves it though, so I'm a good sport and stuff. I'm just. Worried.
