Songs of Autumn (Lost Records AU)

They say music speaks when words fail.

Maybe that’s why Autumn and Kat are drawn to each other—through strings and chords, through melodies that say what they never can. Autumn plays to quiet the silence, every note measured, thoughtful. Kat plays loud and bold, like the music is pumping through her veins, demanding to be heard.

And somewhere between those notes, they find something that feels a lot like love.

LRSummerfest Week 6: "Nora's Sacrifice" (Fan Comic)

Imagine an ending where Nora sacrifices herself to the abyss so that Kat can get a 2nd chance in life.

it all starts with Nor misinterpreting lyrics to "Heart-shaped box" by Nirvana, sometimes she does it on purpose to troll Kat

In the final abyss showdown, Nora makes a wish and sings the same song incorrectly one last time.

She takes the plunge

and now she's gone

Autumn lost her best friend, Swann lost her video star and Kat lost her first love.

denial, depression, anger

acceptance, moving on and letting go

Every year, they return to Velvet Cove to visit an old friend.

Kat comes in earlier

she still remember Nora's favorite brand of cigarettes

(also yeah kat and autumn are sorta a thing in this comic, it's just theyre trying to make it work with their busy lives)

kat does the yapping for them now

we gotta go back to where we started from

LRSummerfest Week 3: "Kat's Portrait" (fan comic)

canonically, Nora can draw so I decided to make a comic about it

following week 3's theme of "Echoes of Summer"

the girls love her work

nora probably watched a lot SMart and art attack

Nora decides to draw Kat

she's using 100% of her brain for that sketch

kat looks like a sleep paralysis with bangs

so naturally, Kathryn eats it up

despite everything, autumn and swann can't help but ship them

LRSummerfest Week 2: Computer love (Fan Comic)

so my favorite lrbr headcanon in the whole world is that kat doesn't know how to use a computer, that's funny

so here's a moonraven comic where autumn teaches kat how to windows 95

somehow she crashes it

kat eventually got better at excel, they discovered the hall of tortured souls and lived happily ever after

here's the warm up i did before the comic

annnd an older sketch dump while im at it

soo moonraven is my 2nd favorite lost records pairing cause i feel like kat does look up to autumn a lot and is more shy around her a lil, wants to impress her but not in a fire starting way

plus she's kinda the first one to wanna include autumn more?? i found that to be really sweet

i love how protective autumn is of kat, how genuinely upset and hurt she was when the big reveal happened- she didn't blame her at all, she was mostly angry at herself for not noticing it early

everything she did after that point she just wanted kat to be okay, people demonize this black teenage girl for trying her best in a scary and kinda impossible situation

heheh i was born in 98 so this is all so nostalgic to me; the 2000s felt like lime, older sister's perfume, hairspray, eyeliner, jelly like ui design and pop rock music
