Workings with Ellis

super fucking weird dream?? (Idk help)

This is somewhat long winded so I apologize in advance for that.

To preface the dream, I wanted to provide some context to what I was thinking about before falling asleep because it seems to be important.

Before I took a nap I was researching the DKMU, the LS (or Ellis) sigil, as well as the godform of Ellis herself. I’ve worked with the sigil before and am preparing to make a sculpture that speaks to some of the concepts and properties of the sigil itself (which is the reason I was researching it in the first place) when I laid down I was planning on going on to read DKMU’s, Assault on Reality, but as soon as my head hit the pillow I just could not keep my eyes open which was strange because I wasn’t really particularly tired before laying down. Anyways I digress...

Nov. 25th (sometime between 1 and 3:30pm)

“Woke up” felt like something was watching me from the door. I couldn’t really open my eyes so I started yelling “get out”/“I don’t want you here” but it was really hard to make words and they didn’t sound powerful or fully formed.

Wake up and the same thing happens again but I’m trying harder to open my eyes and can still only manage to squint for seconds at a time.

After either the second or third time of this happening I know that I am dreaming. I know this because I try to turn on the lights and nothing happens, at this point I am lucid but still don’t have full control over opening my eyes.

I come to the conclusion that whatever is here cannot be seen with regular sight and I need to “open my ~third eye~”. So I ground myself and focus every ounce of intent that I have. I think there was a blast of white light.

I “wake up” again, same scenario, but in my head I’m either hearing the words or thinking to myself, “she’s downstairs making tea.” And I open my eyes effortlessly and start heading downstairs. I feel like it’s Ellis. As I get to the bottom of the stairs there’s a blast of white light, I can’t see who is there and then I wake up for real.

I don’t really know what to make of it. I have thoughts on it all but I’d be interested in hearing from others who work with chaos magick, Ellis, or the LS have to say about it in relation to their own experiences and what not.

Can it happen that someone does not have any kind of connection with Ellis? I tried to use the sigil and nothing happened.

Ellis and the LS are two kinda different things. The LS works in incredibly strange ways so pay attention to wherever you put the LS, weirdness will start happening there. In addition to that, I’ve found that the LS works better when it’s left somewhere more permanently rather than like scribbled on paper for a ritual and the torn up or thrown away or something. Not saying that that doesn’t work because I know for many people it does, but in my experience, tying it to a location for a longer period of time provides better results.

Thee Hand Ov Fate: Conjuration No.2 - Sorcery Divination

So I performed this with runes as suggested and due to the fact that runecasting was the first method of divination I leaned and still am most familiar with. I used my set of obsidian runes that have always been incredibly straightforward with me.

My pre-ritual preparation mainly consisted of a salt bath which is fairly typical for me when I’m getting ready to do any sort of intensive divinatory work.

The ritual itself went as follows:

- Threw on some binurial beats, lit some incense, and set up the workspace.

- Crafted sigils to correspond with various questions (the LS, the Ariel Cross, and an automatic sigil)

- Sat down to take a few minutes to meditate and then got to work.

- Once finished, I burnt the sigils and gave a blood offering as thanks to the network and the other players. Proceeded to accidentally spill wax and ash all over my workspace.

I found that this exercise took longer than most divination sessions do for me. Not that it was a particularly hard line of questions but I think the questions and answers both took more contemplation to get complete answers out of.

I would talk more about my exact results but I don’t really feel it is necessary to do so. Based on my results, I do however want to say that I feel we are all incredibly connected by this game and network. Additionally, I feel like the actions and outcomes that one experiences in this exercise effect all of the other players as well, which isn’t really surprising at all.

Also on another note, I’ve tried to post this like 5 times today and it hasn’t let me so 6th time’s a charm hopefully

Are you going to join the Marauder's Underground?

As I understand it, the Marauder's Underground is a specific magical working group that was formed a number of years ago. I could be wrong, but I am not aware of them accepting new members into the group itself, although much of their work such as the Ellis sigil is basically public domain and open for anyone to use.  If you mean the DKMU forums over on Death by Lollipop, I might join those.  I've certainly found a good deal of interesting material there.
