The subway map without the L ☹️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The L train shutdown has an official start date – April 27, 2019. The MTA has announced a date for the reconstruction of the Canarsie Tunnel, which was badly damaged during Hurricane Sandy, along with details about replacement transit including expanded bus, ferry and Citibike service. The tunnel between Eighth Ave in #Manhattan and Bedford Avenue in #Brooklyn will be closed for fifteen months. The L will continue to run in Brooklyn between #Bedford and #Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway during reconstruction. Additionally, there will be overnight and weekend closures (between Eighth Avenue and #Broadway Junction) every weekend in February, the first three weekends in March.
