Human!M-21 AU (Expansion)
Im going to update the AU of M-21 being human and is a teacher at Ye Ran high school.
For the sake of organisation and easy to search it all up, I’ll be using the tag #H!M-21 AU for any updates either HC, art or maybe writings.
Some parts are a lengthy read as I’m merging this AU with canon events that happen in the first part of the Manhwa only (Anything beyond the point of Regis and Seira introduction is a whole new plot - think of canon divergence?? though i like to play with the established timeline in the manhwa). It might be confusing but I hope to convey my train of thought properly into words.

- M-21 is human in this AU (but not M-24) which means he is not a failed experiment by the union but rather just a man who is doing his job. This greatly changes his dynamic with M-24 as they wouldn't be close friends from the beginning. While the both of them do not share a common and established history together, I still like to think that they do interact in this AU only it starts out shaky at best considering that M-24 is an enemy to M-21.
Both bond over children tho lskdlskd thats how they are on decent terms.
- M-21 is sassy as he is in canon. Just less depressed and more ‘im not paid enough for this shit’.
- Art teacher M-21 is a random HC of mine. I just remember him in overalls (when he, Tao and Takeo had to fix the school) and felt the urge to place him into a different role, thus introducing new elements into the AU while keeping close to his true character. Rather than to protect and guard (as he is a bodyguard in canon), his role now is to guide and nurture.
Though I have to admit, i thought it would be cute that he would have a hobby or passion for arts (again; a Headcanon of mine).
- Rai and Frankenstein would try their best to keep M-21 out of supernatural business but unfortunately the supernatural business comes to M-21. He just happens to accidentally meet the nobles and werewolf warriors. That and the fact that during arc 1, erasing M-21 memory of M-24 death seems like an injustice towards a dying wish of a man who wanted to be remembered as he is, rather than what he became.
- Best teacher 11/10 please give this guy a raise and an award.
- In this Au, M-21 has a name but its [ redacted ]. Only two people know M-21 real name and they are; M-24 and Frankenstein (his boss). He goes by M-21 because he thought it was cool and the name just stuck. Everyone just accepted it as fact.
- In this AU, Tao and Takeo (who still end up being bodyguards) are M-21 closest friends outside his boss and student friendship circle. The two of them like to hang around in M-21 art studio when they have free time because they find it pretty interesting at first then later on come to see M-21 as a valued friend I had to keep their bromance
- M-21 survives on logic. From getting kidnapped to almost dying, he uses his wits as a weapon. While the Nobles and werewolves depend on their OP af abilities, M-21 uses brains. (Update: Outwits his opponents since they tend to understimate his capabilites just because he's a human or uses human technology to his advantage.)
