My Danmei Kid and Parenting Head Canons: Bingqiu
Parenting: Shen Qingqiu, whether he likes to admit it or not, is naturally very maternal. Parenting comes very easy to him and he truly adores his children. He likes to think of himself as the bad cop parent, but in reality, he spoils them and lets them off the hook easily. Luo Binghe however, is very complicated. He truly wants to be a good parent, but seeing himself in a child and knowing his own struggle with self hatred and extending his love to someone other than Shen Qingqiu puts him in a tricky situation. However, it’s not all hopeless. In short: getting pregnant would fix Luo Binghe. So their second is carried by Luo Binghe, creating an emotional connection and challenging the blackness in Luo Binghe's heart that he never thought possible. In the end, the become adorable sappy parents.
Bingwen is a shy, well-behaved child and a bit of a nervous wreck. Looking just like Luo Binghe, he unearths a lot of his father's self-hatred, creating a strain between them. However, once Luo Binghe breaks through the cage in his heart, Luo Binghe smothers Bingwen. Turns out, Bingwen is really into monsters, just like Shen Qingqiu.
Qiulong is far more carefree in comparison to her brother. All of the turmoil happened before she was born so she only ever knew a life of being a pampered princess. She is just as well-behaved and mannered as her older brother, but she does so with expectation of being praised and adored.
