Legend is generally speaking a pretty competent person. Drawing him being kinda pathetic is incredibly healing for my soul. Luckily for him, Marin thinks his bunny flop impression is very cute.

Notes:

Marin is a gremlin and I stand by this.

Legend was swept away without anything on him, and whatever little thing he did have with him (his knife and rupees bag, it was a rough day for the little mer) was taken from him during the rough ride to Koholint. I'd like to imagine Spirit and Phantom picked it up. Rip Legend's rupees, they were always destined to end up with someone else.

Remember: Legend is currently cursed with legs and every step he takes is like walking on thorns (i love inconveniencing him <3)

LA starts with Legend wanting to get back home as quickly as possible because something off is happening in the ocean and he can't have that.

Marin flip-flops in trying to help him get rid of the curse (perhaps their first "date" together is trying to find that fairy queen, proximity to Hyrule and his own experiences with sea witches makes it that he probably suspects the fairy queen should be here somewhere. The problem is pinpoint where...) and trying to get him to stay justttt a little big longer because she wants company and Legend is her first taste of freedom.

But then Legend catches onto something being deeply and truly wrong on Koholint (though he can't really pinpoint why) and the two of them get super attached to each other and welp. Ride or die it is.
