Okay so... real life can wait a little more right? right????

I've been wanting to draw this one ever since deciding that Twilight should have a generous boob window and that there was beef between Twilight and Warriors. Don't be fooled by Hyrule's sweet appearance! He can and will point stuff out deliberately to watch what happens (never maliciously though! He has standards!) (remember that doodle of him making fun of warriors of being afraid of being spotted by certain woman in the bar and how he deliberately teases Time for being slow in the morning? Yeaaa Rulie knows what he is doing) and delights in being in the know about the drama that is happening. Legend is just here to provide popcorn.

For those that have not read this excellent addition by @mobgabriel, I'm putting all the lore here: Wars and Twilight have beef because of an accident happening to Midna. Midna's parents weren't all that enthused about Twilight being her skating partner because they thought he wasn't technically proficient enough and had their eyes set on Warriors instead who was a rising star in the skating community. Something something happened and Warriors and Midna ended up being pressured into a try out together by both Midna's parents and Cia (who is Wars sponsor).

A lot of things went wrong here. Midna was seething because of being pressured into parting with one of her closest friends now, Cia was too enthusiastic (as mob already proposed: Lana (Who is Cia's sister, her secretary and also a huge wars fan) had to mandate venting and wars fan powerpoint sessions with her to make her act a little bit more normal. So that happens after this incident) and Wars was feeling so so awkward. It led to an accident happening on the ice rink.

Midna helped her parents and Cia cover it up because she might be not be able to skate anymore and there is no use dragging Warriors down with her, because the public might not react kindly to it.

So Midna dropped out for seemingly no reason (here I'd like to add that maybe she ended up dealing with Zant trying to dismantle her parents company so she has her own battles to fight in the mean time) and Twilight is left with questions.

Twilight doesn't know much. Midna didn't want to talk about it because she was bitter about being robbed from her passion and the only other thing he knows is that Warriors had something to do with it. When he confronted Warriors one time, it was during a really really bad time and Warriors made an absolutely horrendous impression on him. It doesn't help that the public caught on and pitted them against each other.

The misunderstanding has been cleared, but habits are difficult to kill so they still snipe at each other and have some unaddressed hurts, but they respect each other very much and understand that nothing the other did was out of malice.

Luckily for Midna, she recovered a season or two after her injury and is skating again. Both Twilight and Midna decided it would be better to focus on singles competition, so Midna is now having a hot rivalry with Dusk!

While I’m trying to figure stuff out for Wild but someone asked about Twi so like what am I going to do ?? Not design a lil human midna for for twilight to be all sad about ?? I think not

Ok this could be nothing but silly LU story idea about twilight from someone who has not played twilight princess (yet)

What if, due to the differences between Twilight and Hylian cultures, Twilight and Midna are married. But only by Twili standards. Twilight does not know this. Midna does not know he does not know.

She leaves at the end of the game hoping to one day see her husband again. Link is heartbroken that he never got to confess his love. Their marriage is a diplomatic link between the worlds of light and twilight, even with the mirror broken.

Getting the twili forehead tattoo in his Hylian form would either be a twili version of a wedding ring or a crown (since she’s a princess)

There’s so many different directions you could go with this, including but not limited to:

- the chain runs into a random person from the twilight realm who sees the tattoo and starts bowing, everyone is confused

- somehow they end up meeting up with Midna and Twilights like “I never got the chance to tell you I love you” and Midnas like “you married me I know you love me” “I what.”

- someone in the chain finds a book about Twili culture and they’re reading it and Twilights like “oh that sounds like this thing Midna and I did once” and the other member of the chain is like “…a wedding?” “…is that what that was?”

- Dusk knows about it and assumes he does too and refers to him as “Prince of the Twilight Realm” at some point

- they’re in a dungeon and there’s a wall that “only royalty can pass through” and the chain is trying to find a way around bc no royalty here and then Twilight (and possibly Sky bc future king) lean on the wall and fall through and somehow this helps him realize he’s married to a princess and it’s definitely not Dusk

- and/or you could make it angsty, I’m feeling silly rn but I’m sure you could

Again I have not played twilight princess so I have no idea if there’s a canonical reason as to why he has the markings in his Hylian form in LU but even without that it would still be funny

Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but I don't think Warriors ever saw Midna's true form, at least in the main core of his game.

But even if he has, I think it be funny if he didn't, because he's probably heard Twilight venting about his doomed relationship with her, and all he can think is:

"He's this hung up about an IMP?"

Some LU figure skating AU headcannons that have been marinating in my head for... a while

Because why the hell not

Legend is Canadian. He can and will go out at -25° C in shorts and/or a short skirt. He also speaks a bit of French and curses in Québécois (as a treat)(because we need more Québec representation in fictional media)

Legend has a solo with the song "Over the Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz (it's such a Legend x Marin song to me <3)

Midna introduced Twilight to the goth aesthetic (she's from the city while he comes from a rural area) and Twi has been an enthusiastic goth ever since

Twilight is a huge animal lover, so his figure skating outfits are all themed after animals (raven, wolf, Ordon goat, horse...)

Sky and Twi are besties. They go skiing together in the winter and they have a set of matching figure skating outfits

Midna and Twi had a choreography together with the "Orchestra Piece #1" from Twilight Princess
