Uggggh Tumblr just ate an entire post

Cliffs Notes version: I know how to dress nice, hair and makeup are a mystery to me, I have mad crazy impostor syndrome, I wore jeans and flips at work for the last 4 years, my hormones are on the fritz and I think I may be entering early menopause because the 5 pregnancy tests I've taken in the last 1.5 weeks proved negative and yet, no period. Cool story bro. (This was in reference to @luanneclatterbuck post about getting over being a "guys guy").

Not really? I mean, there are people who fit really well together, for sure, but that doesn’t make them the one for you. For example, my ex. When we met I thought we were meant to be together. It’s been 20 years and I’m SO DIFFERENT from the girl I was back then. The truth is, being in a relationship I’d consider “soulmate” level takes a lot of work. Talking about shit you don’t want to talk about, being honest and open and laying it all out there even when you’re embarrassed or frustrated of angry. So I guess I see “soulmate” as a role to be filled rather than one particular person you are meant for.

I had a very bad bit of anxiety several years ago, along with the beginning of my thyroid problem. I had to wear a heart monitor for a month. I constantly feared dying in my sleep so i never slept, which of course made it all worse. I’m not a doctor and i don’t know exactly what you’re experiencing, but I’ve been through it and survived :-) I wish i knew then it was anxiety because that would have, ironically, eased my anxiety. Hang in there, girl. I have a feeling you’ll feel better soon.

BTW, I received my Etsy purchase from @luanneclatterbuck and I love it even more in person, especially all the green (my favorite color)! I am suuuuper tempted to hang it in the spare room where the in-laws stay, NOT because they're the worst, but because they're very "hashtag blessed" types of people, and THAT irritates the shit out of me. It may live in the kitchen near the pantry though, because that's often my thought when I look in there and haven't gone to the store in two weeks.
