HONESTLY ! i love how you phrased that dude. the smiths really were right when they said ‘it’s so easy to laugh it’s so easy to hate, it takes guts to be gentle and kind.’ like i’m in love with the whole idea of it n i see it as such a fundamental universal truth, i HAVE to….there are times when i just want to dissolve into bitterness and spite, and sometimes i do - i’m super defensive and insecure, i’m actually inherently pretty negative as a person. but ultimately? it always comes back to kindness for me. and i want to work on it more. i want to see the world through a lens of gentleness and understanding bc otherwise whats the point, man. it’s so hard to learn how to extend your hand when all we hear about is being bitten for it but. it’s such a necessary and inevitable part of the human experience, you know? what else is there
