The most important thing I had to realize is that I have to paint pieces I like, pictures which are perfect for me and I shouldn't worry about what anyone else thinks at all. It's their problem, not mine.

What I really want
You know what I really want? I want a agent/manager/mentor, call them whatever you want to, who can make me the best damn illustrator I could ever become. Someone who believes in me and can be my partner in business and arts. That's something I would kill for! There you have it..
