Like a lovely rum, this story leaves you feeling warm and mellow.

A cafe!au set post-season 4, but pre-season 5. It explores what really happened to Alfie on the beach at Margate. As many of you know I’ve always rejected any suggestion that Alfie died, and this fic is a lovely exploration of what did happen.

The author captures Alfie’s speech SO WELL (example below). I love the OC who is bold and brave but still sensibly cautious of the world Alfie was/is part of. This is such a lovely job and well worth a read.
