During the development of the Cut series the intention was to mimic the aesthetics of the first paper models that you cut during the early phase of a design process. To get the proportions right every single part was cut slightly uneven and then rolled individually to get the unevenness of cut paper. The series was made out of a special aluminum alloy that makes the aluminium stiffer and more rigid. To achive the tactility and the appearance we used a super matte powder coat that resembles the surface of a A4 paper sheet. This project was a collaboration between me @lucashinnerud and Jens Boldt and was first be exhibited at Salone satellite.
