VETH WOULD’VE NEVER expected that they would be able to see Molly again ー not quite Molly, but a stranger in a companion’s body; the opposite of what she’d experienced ー a companion in a stranger’s body, someone not quite her, yet would be her all the same. How did she react when she became someone else? How should she react when he returned to someone not himself?
She catches herself before his name falls onto her tongue ( so be it if this was not Molly in the flesh ー to be is what you make of it ), thick eyebrows knotted together, lips bitten in an effort to find the words to say. What do you say to a long-lost friend? What do you say to a stranger in his body?
