Smooth Talkin
Or You Can Only Be in Sunspire So Long Before Being Accosted by Rizzy’s Never Ending Chatter.
Rizzy hopped up on his favorite bar stool at the noodle cart, which just so happened to be the seat next to one Lucieren Featherblood. Captain of the Serpent's Kiss Curse. It all seemed quite coincidental for the moment, and nothing like the past forty-five minutes he had spent wandering around the port, working off vague descriptions of one of the few captains in harbor he had yet to get good eyes on. Giving the big friendly pandaren a slight nod to his usual order, he finally spoke, “An a fresh drink for the Captain here if she’ll let me buy her one.”
He wasn’t going to beat around the bush on this once, he knew who she was and had work to do, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t be polite in the same moment. The whole plan was to smooth things over between her and Vel after all.
The monk had a sweet, genuine smile; a simple way about him and frequent passers by offered him little nods of respect or friendship, but not enough to interrupt. Dressed in colorful leathers, they offset the darkness of his skin pleasantly, and his brown hair was kept cleaner than many in the port, pulled back into a casual ponytail. He might have actually been crazy, in reality, considering he wore no weapons upon his person, but at least he was a marked difference from the often grumpy scowls or drunken obnoxiousness of many seamen.
“Hiii! I’m Rizzy, or Riz if y’in a hurry, which ‘tween noodles y’might be. These I swear are the best on this side of the Eastern Continent! I was wonderin, if y’might be willin t’talk t’me bout that fat lip y’gave m’sister, Vel an ways t’make sure that don’t happen again. No’ sayin y’likely didn’t have good reasons! I heard a little bout y’troubles being stuck in Stormheim, but one of the last things we need round here is unhappy captains or beaten up family.”
