I mean I love him but at the same time I hate what he is doing to Cas

do you think lucifer's jealous of sam and dean's relationship, because he never got that with michael?

OMG yes.

I seriously don’t understand in Swan Song, why everyone acts like Lucifer just randomly decides to beat up Dean because he’s just evil or whatever. That scene is so damn emotional from Lucifer’s point of view. He’s literally got Michael stood there like “nah I’m going to kill you” even when Lucifer tries to ask to just stop everything, and then Dean like “I’m not going to leave you, Sammy”. Of course Lucifer’s jealous.

He starts hitting Dean because he wants Dean to act like Michael, because at least that would make sense. Like, why would Dean give Sam a chance, but Michael not give him one? And he really doesn’t want Sam to have a brother that turns on him too, but at least if it happens to them both it’s clear they’re the victims, and Lucifer can continue to preach that he’s misunderstood, because Sam’s a righteous person, so if people will judge someone wonderful like Sam, then it shows that everyone else is just judgmental and doesn’t understand. So then that makes him also the victim. And he also can’t quite blame Michael, because he still looks up to him so much. But he views Michael and Dean as the same, so Lucifer starts worrying that maybe Michael’s not unreasonable, and he and Sam aren’t the same, which means that maybe he’s the problem.

Sam in the show is obsessed with the idea of redemption, and Lucifer is too, but only one of Dean and Michael gives the chance for it. So because Lucifer actually has the worst self esteem ever, he sees Dean stick by Sam and worries that maybe he just doesn’t deserve the chance after all, because his brother abandoned him.
