You can probably get away with resizing a 300dpi canvas for small prints, but for anything larger than an 8x10, you pretty much have to draw to size or risk fuzzy/pixelated prints.
When I make a canvas that's 11"x17" at 300 dpi it's like a damn billboard is it supposed to do that how am I supposed to draw that big

One of my drawing instructors had us doing nothing but gestures for weeks and then nothing but still life and we couldn’t talk to each other or listen to music. It was just two continuous hours of silent agony.
Couldn't even listen to music wtf. See, I really wish we did more gesture drawing in my class, we literally just ~render~ spheres and gradients. It's not even like drawing, it's like sculpting with graphite, it looks terrible up close and it takes forever. We've had ONE class where we did gesture drawings, and it was the best thing we've done so far. Also I'm sick of wasting my supplies on filling backgrounds. It's literally just a waste of supplies.
