Team Pitches and Picking a game
During the first day of Nextgen, we were to pitch our current game to people within our team. Each team member were to pitch their initial game, any design, and a possible demo of the game to each other.
once each person had pitched their game idea, we were to vote on which game we thought had the most potential.
- Tower: A pixel RPG adventure game in which you are to escape a tower.
-ESCAPE: A board game in which players must answer questions correctly in order to not get caught.
- Anti-Virus: A 2D Platforming shooter in which you are an anti-virus program and need to destroy viruses within a computer
-Lucious: A 2D Platforming adventure which players play as one of three characters and collect items and avoid enemies.
-Vikings: A 2D Top down game in which the player must control a Viking ship to get it to Canada, avoiding enemies, whirlpools and other obstacles.
-LampLight: A 2D Top down maze game, where the player controls a space ship through a darkened maze, using a lamp to help them see their way through.
The game that was chosen was a mixture of both Lucious and LampLight.
Each game showed potential, Lucious with its story and characters, and LampLight, with the lamp to help light up the path.
The two games are going to be merged, so that Lucious is a 2D platformer that uses light to make the game that bit harder.
