NOT NOW. HE’D SAVE such a thing for a later time; when the other’s guard was lowered JUST ENOUGH to Daniel’s liking. How unfortunate that he was unable to see Ace’s eyes from behind tinted shades, yet it only made him more excited to see them for HIMSELF.

     secrets. kate’s worked her way around the block with them before. nothing too major, white lies here & there. she could be skillful with them when she needed to be, and sometimes, a person does. but it was always difficult with people she CARED for. putting a strain on their relationship when the full picture wasn’t being seen. hiding, sneaking, tip-toeing around the truth. she wasn’t perfect, no one was. 

     but ace had become close to a father figure in their time together. someone she could trust and confide in, of an older age and debatable intellect ( a story for another time ). & if anyone deserved to know feelings she harboured for someone. it had to be him.
