There are lots of arguments either way about the skirt, but like... the ten year old inside of me is like "it goes swish and woosh really cool when she is flying!" Kinda like the cape. Skirts are just cool flying clothes. I don't know, I think it looks good. It could be used in all sorts of ways, the thing that matters to me is how it is used in any individual interpretation. People find ways to sexualize women in comics. I don't think the skirt is the problem here?

I agree! I understand that not everyone likes the skirt, and that’s totally fine! But the argument that pants are inherently better is where folks lose me. XD

1) if someone wanted to really understand you, what would they read, watch, and listen to? 

M*A*S*H for sure, and Voltaire for listen (not read- I like reading the philosopher’s stuff but I don’t agree with most of it, the musician I love), and it took me a while to realise this doesn’t say ‘play’ but I still can’t leave out Final Fantasy 9? that games important to me. Peter Pan and Peter Pan in Scarlet both for read, and Mercedes Lackey’s Mage Winds trilogy too- that series had His Dark Materials both had a huge effect on me as a kid.

tho my favourite book growing up was My Side of The Mountain. Rascal by Sterling North was pretty high up there, too.

haha, I seriously can’t choose,  I’m both.  there’s a dog and a cat sleeping on me right now.  grew up in a family of dog people tho, they were a little baffled when I immediately adopted a cat at eighteen.

I got into the magnus archives recently because of you, and I can say that I have been very impressed! I am about 15 episodes in any it is already great, but I can see this is all going somewhere and I am super excited. Thank you so much! As soon as I catch up I am going to read all the MAG stuff you have been posting, but for now I have been carefully avoiding spoilers.

It is INCREDIBLY IMPRESSIVE that you have managed to avoid spoilers on my blog, since I decided early on that I was functionally incapable of remembering multiple tags for a given fandom and also that the decision of when it would have been “long enough” since a thing came out to take the spoilers tag off was just....way too much responsibility.

Anyway!  I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying TMA and that I have been such a plague upon my followers that so many have joined me in this podcast hell!  Welcome to it!
